A SMALL HOUSE FOR BIG TEXTURES

Purl House

One thread. A thousand possibilities.

01 / DESIGN

Make your repeat

6 × 6 stitches

Choose a stitch, then paint the chart. Rows read bottom to top.

Your yarn is ready.

02 / COLOR

Dress the yarn

Three shelves, saved on this device.

03 / WATCH IT BECOME FABRIC

Your loop garden

Right side

A 2D yarn model of your repeat, tiled three times across and twice upward. Knit and purl change which way the loops face; slip carries yarn past a stitch; tuck holds an extra loop. Try the back side, too.

✦
Try a little discovery

Load Rib, flip the fabric, then change every other column to knit. Watch the thread find a new route.

WELCOME TO THE STUDIO

Play with a single thread

Pick one of six textures. Choose a stitch tool and click or drag across the chart. The yarn preview updates automatically.

Keyboard: 1–4 select a stitch. Tab to a chart cell and press Enter to paint it. Arrow keys move between cells. R relaxes, F flips, and Ctrl/⌘ Z undoes.

Relax lets the spring model settle. Reset tension straightens the model again. Flip shows the opposite side of the very same thread.

Slip and tuck need anchor stitches: consecutive holds in one column are limited to two; the last row stays knitted as a bind-off. A message explains any rejected change.

Keep up to three designs on this device. Loading a shelf restores stitches, colors and stripe rhythm. This is a playful 2D model, not machine-ready knitting instructions.
